I was finally able to get DC Unlocker to detect my 3G Router, but I get an error when unlocking it.

This error is usally caused if there are more devices connected to pc. Also it can be so that there was no sim card inserted during unlocking procedure. Device restart/reconnect can also fix it.

I tried restarting, reconnecting, and making sure nothing else is plugged in on the USB ports. I still get the error.

I'll re-try again using version dc-unlocker_client-1.00.0930.exe as I noticed that it's the version the guy used from this thread: https://www.dc-unlocker.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=13359

Hope it works in Windows 8.

Got it unlocked after buying 7 credits. Select ZTE MF30, then select the appropriate COM port to detect it properly. I get error 26 before buying credits. After buying the credits, it was successfully unlocked.

Just that after paying for the credits, you'll get a password. You can enter your username and the password you get after paying on the dc-unlocker software, in the server section. You can click on Check password and it will tell you how many credits you have available.

Click unlock and it will unlock it.

To detect the modem, make sure you have dc-unlocker software closed.
Connect your device via USB with an invalid SIM inserted.
Make sure Windows finishes installing the drivers before you open up dc-unlocker software.
Select ZTE modems.
Select ZTE MF30.
Click the magnifying glass button.
If it doesn't detect it, change the COM port, until it does.

Follow steps as gormful mentioned earlier. Try to use autodetect function on select model line. make sure drivers are installed on pc before running dc-unlocker software.

Last thing I would suggest is to restart the PC, restart the device, connect the device to another USB port, wait for windows to install device drivers, re-launch dc-unlocker software, and try to detect it again.

If all else fails, try to have it unlocked at a cellphone repair shop.
