  • E160G become dead after flashing

After flashing E160Update_11.609.10.00.311.B418 (downloaded from dc-files) modem lost almost all devices. Remain only USB CD-ROM. All software doesn't see modem. All flashers/updaters/dc-unlocker report "data card cannot be found".

What goes wrong and how can I repair it?

P.S. Flashing last firmware ends with successful message.

With the key connected to usb port, try to remove the Huawei USB composite device under Controller USB, and after do a refresh of hardware detection

I try to stop device using Device Removing, but nothing happens. It doesn't stop. Then I try to disable CD-ROM / USB Mass Storage Device from Device Manager, but after "searching devices" - nothing found again.

      Problem is still open.

P.S. After disabling USB Mass Storage, I cannot enable it again. Windows thinking about 1 min, and then marks Mass Storage by yellow ! and says "Cannot start device" (or similar, I am using localized version of Win). Unplugging/plugging - and CD-ROM appears.

P.P.S. Modem is register in network, when contain SIM-card. I call to my number, and hear long dials.

        Thank you, Fakiro! It works!

I spend a half-hour deleting Mass Storage Device and refreshing Device Manager. In one perfect moment Win finally detects five Huawei devices. I have installed drivers & Mobile Partner. Now internet connects through Windows RAS, through Mobile Partner, I have voice functions and unlocked modem.

        Topic can be closed.

Yeah...well...after voice activated function, windows will take little more time to detect modem dongle, but all must work
