Hello,
The E160 Dashboard/software located here on DC-unlocker
Download : E160_Dashboard_WIN_UTPS11.030.01.04.03.B409
and the newer E160 dashboard/software located on the Huawei site
http://www.huawei.com/mobileweb/en/doc/list.do?type=-1&id=5840
Are these versions of mobile partner compatible with Windows and Mac.
Mainly, are the dashboards compatible with Mac computers, or are these versions only for Windows?
Good to see the flashing code is now available in the new client : dc-unlocker client-1.00.0283
Thanks
Gaz

How long does this take? I've installed it and its been downloading programs for over 10 mins now. This is for an E160E modem. Just wondering how long it would take?
Just also realized that I've installed the version from your site. Is it advisable to use the newer versions? Refer to this site: http://www.huawei.com/mobileweb/en/doc/list.do?type=-1&id=5840

Hello,
Installing dashboard/software to modem takes about 2.5 to 3 mins.
Remove SIM from modem and make sure modem software is turned off after connecting modem to USB port.
Turn off antivirus and internet and any other programs running.

Thanks for your quick replies. They contradict though.
The sim is currently in the modem, which is unplugged. Nearly 20 mins now and it hasnt moved from the "Updating Dashboard / Downloading programs" wizard.
What should I do now? Keep waiting? The "start" and "cancel" buttons are both grayed out.
How do I know its not just stuck?
I already see Mobile Partner from the modem drive? Should I just launch / install that now? This used to be the old Service Provider software before unlocking.

Hi,
you say the modem is unplugged, does that mean you don't have the modem plugged into a USB port?

Hello,
Here is a link to a guide for updating Dashboard/software and firmware.
I remove the SIM card before updating.
I just tested the Dashboard update on an 02 branded(UK) E160 and it took just less than 3 mins to update.(I'm in australia)

Hi,
Sorry meant to say that the modem is "plugged" to the usb port. My bad.
I unplugged it, downloaded the latest dashboard, removed the sim and tried again. Seems to work this time around. I'm now installing the new mobile partner app with the sim inserted. See what happnes now.
