Hi,
I have a BELL MIFI 2372 with the 5.28 firmware. I did purchase 15 credits and ran the unlocker.
The unlocker reported a positive unlock and even after a rescan it showed unlocked, however when I login in the MIFI it still shows locked.
Now I flashed with the 5.26.2 generic firmware and still it shows locked.
Please help!!

Hello. What do you mean it still shows locked? Did you try with the other providers SIM card inserted? Maybe you use branded software, which recognizes only original providers SIM cards?

if I login into the MIFI and go to "internet" and then"sim" submenu it still shows "lock sim".. is that the right setting? I tried with a Telstra sim but it doesn't tell me locked or unlocked, the MIFI keeps searching...

If you insert other providers SIM card, you should also set other providers network settings (APN, login, password, etc.). Still not working?

I have 2 Bell branded 2372, and I'd like them unlocked for the future. Currently both sit at 5.26 firmware, and Bell has pointed an update to Novatel website for downloading which has this link:
http://www.novatelwireless.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=194%3Abell-mifi2372&catid=33%3Atechnical-support&Itemid=9
And from the name of the file:
20419312_MUU_MSM7225_Build_5.28_pkg.exe
It seems to update the firmware to 5.28, and it's dated June 2011 on the archive file.
I want to confirm if the OP's problem is due to the newer firmware, or if it is unrelated. I haven't discovered what benefits the new firmware will bring, but my current units suffer from overheating after long use, and will crash or behave erratically (and need to cool down). If the firmware will fix this (and other routing strange behaviour), it should be done of course.
But, if it affects the ability to be unlocked, then I have to think twice, because it's much easier if I need to sell them, in unlocked condition than locked.
Your help would be great. BTW, a friend's friend has used your service and unlocked his successfully. I'm not sure what version he has on his, but likely a 5.26 as I haven't heard he has done any updates, and the unit was bought at about the same time from same dealer.
I wonder if the OP or DC can help on this.
