After purchasing credits you will receive username and password. Enter them to dc unlocker software, press check login, then detect, then unlock.
Dashboard is a setup file which updates the internal modem connection software. You will need it to update if your connection software will not accept other provider sim cards.
More about unlocking you can watch here: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/tutorials

ok so with the dashboard, is this the flash file/firmware to put on the dongle?
is it a case of locating the file from the dcunlocker and flashing?

-Unlocking E160 is one work.
-Change/Upgrade Dashboard and/or Firmware is another work.
Many users want to change branded dashboard to unbranded manifacturer dashboard.

Having tried the unlock routine for the last week I have come to the following conclusions.
Run the E160 dashboard as downloaded and yes your card will be 'unlocked'
What happens next is still a function of the original firmware and the new SIM.
I have 2 E160 cards from different networks.
They behave very differently after unlocking. The original networks are found while rival networks are ignored. The need to enter an unlock code with a new SIM is also due to the differences between the original settings and the new SIM. I would have thought the unlock routine would leave you with a 'blank' card but it does not.
To totally clear the E160 would require a firmware flash which does not appear to be available from Huawei at this date. ( I would love to find one)

Hello,
Open the Dashboard and go to.....settings......network.....manual....and scan for networks available?
Have you tried the above?

Dashboard does not unlock the modem. It only change the internal modems connection software. For unlocking modem you need to use dc unlocker client software.
If you have already unlocked with dc unlocker, then you should check, if there was a sim card inserted to the modem at unlock time. If it was, then you should do unlock one more time without sim card inserted. Unlocking the same modem does not need additional credit. You can unlock it more times with 0 credits.
If the modem asks for a unlock code, then it is not unlocked.

I have just installed the Mobile_Partner_11.030.01.07.03 software on my laptop and have not changed the E160 Dashboard. Work for me fine on voda & T-Mob
