Hi,
I bought 15 credit and managed to unlock my ZTE MF 626 successfully.
I uninstall the Telstra Turbo Connection Manager, and install the downloaded connection software for ZTE. (ZTE_MF622_not_customised_software).
I managed to get the BLUE light on the USB modem but the software shows NO SERVICE and NOT FOUND status.
Am I missing something? Did i use the right software?

Here is connection software for MF622, but it should work on 626 too.
Hi,
I downloaded and installed the connection software for MF622 but my Telstra MF626 modem couldnt get a connection.
it shows NO SERVICE and NOT FOUND in the connection manager software.
when i tried to use the TELSTRA connection manager software, i am able to get a signal and be connected.
it means that the modem is not faulty and still able to connect to Telstra network.
when i insert a VIRGIN MObile SIM card into the telstra modem, I am able to get a connection using TELSTRA connection manager but I am not able to connect when i click on the CONNECT button. I have the correct settings configured for the VIRGINBROADBAND network.
ANy steps i did wrongly? any other connection software for me to try?
thanks in advance.,

When using the no custoised software be sure that you have closed original software.
When you connect the modem to pc original software starts. Just close it and start not customised one.
Check, if you use correct connection settings. Connection settings you can find here: http://franson.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6669

Hey!
I also just unlocked my MF626 and keep getting the blue light. As soon as I start the Telstra Tourbo Connector the light turns from green to blue and when I hit connect I get the following error message: A connection to the remote computer could not be established, so the port used for this connection was closed.
I then checked with the DC Unlocker client and instead the message with all the details and status: unlocked (as I got it previously) it is now stating this:
DC - Unlocker 2 Client 1.00.0267
Detecting card :
selection :
manufacturer - ZTE
model - Auto detect
Diagnostic port not found !
mmmmhhhh......... Any help/ideas are greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Error diagnostic port not found may be because you havent closed connection software.
A connection to the remote computer could not be established - may be because you have entered invalid connection settings.
One more thing. With unlocked modem you need to use unbranded conenction software. Unbranded connection software you can download here: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads/open/46
Download it, install and enter your new provider settings. Provider settings you can find here: http://franson.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6669

Hi!
So, I have uninstalled the Telstra Tourbo Connection Manager and installed the MF622 uncustomised software. I entered my new service provider's details into the nework (correctly! i double checked and there is not much to fill in anyway...). And it still doesn't work... Still getting the blue light as soon as I start the ZTE software up, it doesn't even find the operator anymore... ???
Thanks again for your help!

You should leave the original software installed. Just when you connect the modem, close the software which starts automatically and start the unbranded one. You should check, maybe your provider has changed the settings.
Do you se your provider signal when you insert the sim? Could you try other provider sim?

Hi there
Okay, so what I ended up doing is uninstall ALL Telstra and uncustomised software then I reinstalled the Telstra Connection Manager and then the ZTE upgrade tool http://www.zte.com.au/main/Product_Downloads/MF626_downloads.htm. Now my modem is working both on Telstra and Virgin. It's still a blue light, but who cares... :-))
Thanks for all the support!!! Great stuff! :-))
Regina :-)
P.S. I couldn't install both the Telstra Connection Manager AND the ZTE uncustomised software. It will come up with the pop up screen asking wheter I want to modify, repair or uninstall existing software... (And that comes up whether I first have the TCM or the ZTE software installed... :-))

We have tested this modem MF626 with mf622 software and everything is working, you must check that not two softwares is started, and mf622 can access to modem, must no hidden another provider services running.
Additionally you can configure dialup connection and use without any other software.
