Hi there

As you will no doubt guess from this being my very first posting I am new to all this.

I purchased 15 unlock credits and managed to unlock my 3 E169G for use with any sim and it works magic so thank you to the dc-unlocker team for their skill.

I have read that the firmware can be upgraded to 7.2Mbps but mine only operates at 3.6Mbps. I have tried installing the Client Software from the Huawei website and also software on this site but it still remains at 3.6Mbps.

Has anyone got an idea of how to upgrade it? I'm on a tight budget at the moment so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have searched and searched and searched the internet and can find references to 7.2Mbps realting to firmware version 11.314.13.51.156 in Polish and German. Unfortunately, I speak neither language and links on those forums do not seem to lead to any firmware. All they say is that they are upgrading FROM 11.314.13.15.156 to 11.314.17.0.0 from memory. It may be what is required. I just don't know.

All the best. Hope everyone on this forum has had a great Xmas and are looking forward to a great New Year.

Thanks

R

Thanks for the prompt response.

I have no idea how you found them. I kept searching the net for11.314.13.51.156. I suppose if I had searched for 113141315156 then I might have found something. Maybe not.

I am getting a card not found!

What can cause this? The green light on the modem is flashing twice in quick succession with a 3 second break in between. Does this mean the card has been disconnected before the firmware flashed?

If so, I know that there is no normal way of recovery but could an eeprom read / writer correct this or a chip programmer? Is there a chip that can be plugged in or are they just soldered to the PCB?

Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks.

...hi, sorry for delay...
Yes, the modem auto-disconnected before firmware upgrade (please do not remove device!!!!!!)
Recovery is very difficult...no chip inside are plugged...
Yesterday I have dismantled an E169G brand "Three" UK.
I was surprised :eek: when I saw that inside has a slot for micro-SD and external antenna connector !!!! wow !! a prodigy hidden from Huawei technicians:rolleyes::!!!...great!;)
